What I'm Good At:

I'm an abstract thinker, which means that I am valuable in problem solving situations because I come up with different and unique suggestions that help open the door to new solutions. While they may mean I tend to miss the most obvious answers, I continue to throw myself wholly and completely into any activity that gathers my interest.

I'm also a trend spotter, always on the pulse of what people are talking about and are interested in. Thanks to my ADD-riddled mind, I have an insatiable appetite for information, and I'm quick to become an expert in any field necessary.

My previous experience working in a major online news organization has taught me that I have what it takes to cut it in a high pressure, deadline oriented environment where accuracy reigns supreme.

I also combine my research skills with my background as a web "native," who has sailed the Internet oceans from coding HTML in notepad for ancient Tripod websites to wysiwyg-ing through Wordpress and tumblring into Youtube.

But I'm not a developer: my specialty is in content production, specifically writing and photography. I'm well verses in social media of all stripes, and occasionally, I'll even wear a tie to the office.

Current responsibilities: Generate original written features, build and trigger weekly CTV.ca Insider newsletters, create photo galleries, manage social media interaction (Twitter, Facebook pages), administer CTV Primetime Widget, moderate CTV.ca forum, updating cast bios, updating recaps and episode synopsis, creating trivia challenges, administrating CTV.ca program contests, cross promote CTV programming initiatives, aid in sales promotions when necessary. Has assisted in production of sites for So You Think You Can Dance Canada, Academy Awards, JUNO Awards and the Giller Prize. Promote, participate and administer “live chats” on CTV.ca for major live events.  Recently attended an international press junket in Los Angeles for CTV.ca, interviewing stars such as J.J. Abrams, Simon Baker and Elizabeth Mitchell.

Previous responsibilities: Manage video and photo content in a high-pressure breaking news environment where accuracy and speed are the highest priorities. Contributed entertainment and news features, developing CTV.ca’s first entertainment blog, collaborated with Lisa LaFlamme on a special Afghanistan news special online feature.
